How to adopt the athletic look this winter?
Sportswear keeps holding on
Many fashion houses have added a casual touch to their silhouettes this winter. Designers deviate from chic classics by drawing inspiration from street codes. The trend is to bring sport to the streets. Prada has ridden this wave particularly well, as have Off-White, Junya Watanabe, Balenciaga and Lanvin, among many others. But it is precisely the technical side of sportswear that has inspired designers the most. Adopting it is not very complicated: all you have to do is mix a hoodie or a windbreaker with a more classic piece, like beautiful pair of anthracite tailored pants… This is when sportswear meets tailoring.
The Haute Couture jogger
Fashion is becoming more and more street-oriented and designers are betting everything to the eighties style tracksuit this winter. It will be worn oversized and will often be combined with sports bands, as seen in the Gosha Rubchinskiy fashion show. As a bonus, you can wear it with sneakers, a bandana or even a beautiful parka for a strong urban-chic look.
Designers also bring the sport touch in small ways to their runways, like with white stripes on the side of the trousers, for example.
In total look or only in detail, sportswear is constantly gaining ground on the fashion scene and the arrival of comfort wear this winter confirms this trend all the way.
